A Great Screen Capture Tool–WinSnap

We often have to take screen shots when we use our computer, for example, if you want to copy the screen information to share with other people, or if you have a task to introduce a software or your team’s software applications. or if you write a tutorial online, you most possible have to do screen shots, also, you will have to add some markers on those screen shots such as arrows, comments, highlights etc.

We have spent long time to search a good screen capture tool, currently we do not want take screen video captures, but we only want to screen picture captures. so which tool is the best ? What we meant the best is that we want a light-weight, do not like Photo Shop which is a big professional photo software, also we need the tool provides the powerful functions and beautiful screen shots.

DomainInspect Running Slow ?

If you are a domain player, you might know the domain tool Domain Inspect which created by AntsSoft.

Recently we found it is very slow when we scan even few domains.

We tried to uninstall and clean all settings in register of windows, but it was still slow.

Then we thought maybe the software settings changed, but we tried almost all settings, also we turned off all firewall and anti virus software which we installed on our computer, we were still no luck.

Actually the reason is really about “Domain Inspect settings”, but just we never thought it is the real reason causes the tool to be slow.

There are 2 kinds of settings in Domain Inspect, see below. Program Setting and Internet Setting, but Internet Setting actually loads IE browser’s setting, so we never thought we should changed this setting. Actually the real reason was just because our internet setting


When you open the Internet Setting, go to Connections tab and select LAN settings button


After we access into the LAN settings, we found our Automatic configuration was set to “Use automatic configuration script” by our local host address which set by one software which we installed:


Then we check off “Use automatic configuration script” and check on “Automatically detect settings”, The slow problem of Domain Inspect gone !

Many years ago, When people was still using DOS, it was not convenient to know the computer information. so at that time there were many 3rd party tool to help people to check hardware information.

Now, we are using Windows, Graphic User Interface, the tech keeping growing up. So We do not need to 3rd party software to check our hardware information.

However, there is a much more professional computer hardware checking tool which you still can consider to use. for example, it help you to check most of professional parameters which you might be interested in. And, it is very popular. It is CPU-Z.

Not only computer programmers need a source coders compare tool, but also for any document writer, many people need a nice compare tool. Here I give several nice tools which I have ever used:

1: SourceGear’s DiffMerge:

Free and Open Source tool, I prefer to use it .

2: WinMerge:

Nice one too and free, and also you can get a portable edition

3: Beyond Compare:

Much more professional, before I knew WinMerge and DiffMerge, I used it. But it is not free.
