How many people know Tumblr is owned by Yahoo ? Maybe we were too ignorant to know Yahoo acquired Tumblr in 2013. But we really knew Tumblr more earlier, we did not use it just because we did not know how great about Tumblr ran a long-macro-blog compared with people’s personal blogs. until we knew Tumblr created more society feature.
So due to Wikipedia, Tumblr is a “ micro blogging platform and social networking website”, for our view, Tumblr’s social network feature is similar with Twitter, but the big different is Tumblr allow users post longer content than Twitter.
Let’s start a Sign Up process:
1: On their main web page, you will see the sign up screen:
2: When you input your email, password and username (username can be changed any time later). Then you will answer your age:
3: Now Tumblr want to verify you are not a robot program but a real people is registering, you will have to answer multiple times the questions;
4: Now you select categories which you are interested in:
5: Now you are accessed to Tumblr account actually, but you have one more thing to do: confirm your email address,:
so go to your email and click confirm link, if you are using gmail, please check the society category other wise you will see your inbox email “why no confirm email sent ?”
You should see the Congratulations message like below one, that means you signing up to Tumblr successfully.
