NATO Phonetic Alphabet

When we use phone call we often have to tell something to other people using the English letters, for example you tell your friend an address, you might have to spell the address name, but English letter is not easy to be heard exactly such as you say “T” but your friend might heard as “D”, so we used to use other way like “T for Tango, D for Delta” so that your friend know the right letters.

The “T for Tango, D for Delta….” is from NATO Phonetic Alphabet.

There are 26 code words in the NATO phonetic alphabet are assigned to the 26 letters of the English alphabet in alphabetical order as follows: Alfa, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot, Golf, Hotel, India, Juliett, Kilo, Lima, Mike, November, Oscar, Papa, Quebec, Romeo, Sierra, Tango, Uniform, Victor, Whiskey, X-ray, Yankee, Zulu

So the following list is the most commonly used when you spell English letter when phone calling:
