SyFy.com has not been sold .

2 days ago there was reports about the 4 letter domain SyFy.com sold at $250K to NBC. 1 day after the owner of SyFy.com wrote a comment in this site to clarify: They did not sell SyFy.com:

This story is incorrect. We did not sell syfy.com.

  We did a domain name/trademark transfer sale, that involved the SyFy trademark as well as variants “Sy” and “SFY.” The domain name involved was syfyportal.com, not syfy.com.
