When your lost job such as employment is terminated due to some reasons such as your employer gets bankrupt, or business did not doing well and your employer has to cut off several job positions. Ontario's Employment Termination and Severance
At least, when we get employment termination, we might have 3 important parts in a job termination package: Terminal Pay, Severance Pay and Benefit handling.
An employee is entitled to notice of termination (or termination pay instead of notice) if he or she has been continuously employed for at least three months.
Termination Notice or Pay in lieu of Notice If you are employed and get employment termination and you are qualified to get termination notice, you can check the following table. For example, if you have worked for your employer over 3 years, you can get 3 weeks termination notice or pay in lieu of notice, and with 4% vacation pay. Amount of notice required if an employee has been continuously employed for at least three months
