If you are a IT guy, you should not only use Facebook, Twitter, you might also use very often the Linkedin, at least you know there are lots of recruiters on LinkedIn who always send message to try to contact you. So LinkedIn seems be one service which provides social network feature, but also looks like it is a job service provideer, but the job feature is different with other common job finding websites.

LinkedIn is a business-oriented social networking service. it is mainly used for professional networking (from Wikipedia).

Let’s register a Linkedin account here, it is the 2016 Linkedin website.

1: When you open Linkedin and if you do not have an existing Linkedin account, you often see the interface which asks you to register.

image 2: You will have to provide your country and postal code, these information might be for their job market feature: image 3: And then your Job title and working company: image 3: Choose an option which is most fit for you about your interests: image 4: Actually when you select any one from previous step, you will see the next window like this below one: image Note: In this step, if you click Continue button, you will be accessed to your Gmail account and Linkedin will try to get some information from your Gmail, which depends on you select Allow or Deny: image So if you do not want to do combine Linkedin and your gmail right now, just temporary click **Deny** or close the above window, and return to previous Window to select **Skip** link on the right side. 5: If you finished above step, you will see Linkedin sent an email to your registering email box, you need to open that email to do Linkedin register conform. Note: If you are using gmail to register Linkedin, you might not see the confirm email in your default email box, because Linkedin’s emails are separated by Gmail to be in the Social category image Click the yellow button in the email: image 6: Now you will be accessed back to Linkedin, to let you choose topics which you are interested in. If you like any one, just click the + sign on the top right corner on each topic panel, or click the check sign to remove the topic: image Or, you can click the **Select All** button on the bottom left of the page, then click **Follow xxx channels** button to continue, or you can select Skip this step: image 7: Now you have a chance to download Linkedin mobile phone app, if you do not want to do now, just click Skip button: image 8: As of this step, you actually finished your Linkedin registering process. you might see a Window in your Linkedin account which continue to ask you input more emails, which are about your contacts, your friends, like the below one, but you can ignore it now and do all the settings later: image Go to your registering email, you can see a Linkedin welcome email has been already sent to you: image Done !
