Cannot Login Skype Something went wrong…

Sometimes we might meet the login problem to Skype or Hotmail or Live.com, we see the following error message:

Sign in

Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later.

We saw the message and tried to wait some while even waited until 2 hours later, but we still could not sign in and saw the same message.  so we realized we have to find other answers, we don’t know what the exact reason. but we guessed it might from our web browser, we tried to search information especially on Twitter so we can get live message if Skype crashed or any other problems.

The Skype twitter account is here. but seems there was not any discusses about Skype down, so looks like Skype was on normal status.

Later we got information from Microsoft Community.

First we tried to delete the web browser cache and cookies, but seems not right answer, and later we tried almost all solutions which we could find from internet, still no any good news.

We gave up and planned to write a email to Skype support team in next day.

Occasionally, when we changed to another computer, and tried to sign in our Skype using the same account, we found the exact reason.

ONLY in Skype, you can see the message: the password expired, because when we signed on Skype using the same account, we selected the option the password will be expired every 72 days.So we know the reason is our old password expired, we used the same account for Skype, SkyDrive and Hotmail, the account called Microsoft Account by Microsoft for new policy, but why ONLY display the password expired in Skype? we have seen the confusing message when when tried to login to SkyDrive, if we did not turn to Skype, we would never known why we could not sign in to SkyDrive.
